Escrow Terms & Conditions
Draft for review · Updated 28 October 2026
Important launch notice: Madeinafrica.io does not currently provide live escrow, custody of buyer funds, escrow funding, payment release, or escrow refunds. No funds are held or frozen by this platform. These terms describe a proposed future service only and are not an offer to provide a financial service. Do not transfer funds to the platform on the assumption that escrow protection is active.
1. Platform operator and status
Madeinafrica.io is operated by MADEINAFRICADOTIO (Pty) Ltd, company registration number 2026/855463/07, registered office at 88 Edward Avenue, Johannesburg, Gauteng, 2192, South Africa.
Company registration does not establish authorisation to provide financial services. No escrow provider, regulated custody arrangement, trust account, payment protection, or relevant financial-services licence is represented as confirmed by this page.
2. Proposed future process
If a suitable provider is appointed and the service is legally reviewed, the proposed process may include buyer payment to the appointed provider, shipment and delivery evidence, an agreed inspection period, and release or refund under the provider's contract and applicable law.
Until that service is announced as live in writing, an order record, payment status label, dispute record, fee estimate, or message in the platform is not evidence that funds have been received, safeguarded, frozen, or released.
3. Fees, limits and payment methods
Any displayed escrow fees, transaction limits, inspection periods, payout timelines, supported currencies, or payment methods are planning information only. They are not a live offer, payable charge, or guarantee of provider availability. Final terms will be published only after provider configuration, end-to-end testing, and legal review.
4. Disputes and refunds
Users may be able to record a trade dispute through available platform tools. Recording a dispute does not freeze funds, compel a refund, or create escrow protection. Any future payment dispute process will depend on the appointed provider's terms, the parties' contract, and applicable law.
5. Regulatory and legal review
A live escrow service will not be offered until provider appointment, payment flows, custody arrangements, consumer and business disclosures, data handling, dispute procedures, and applicable regulatory obligations have been reviewed. This page is informational and should not be treated as legal or financial advice.
6. Governing law
Any future service terms will specify governing law and dispute procedures following legal review. Nothing on this draft page limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
